Ocean Atlantic Rentals has been on the Outer Banks since 1979. Since that time we have strived to do what we can for the community by sponsoring local events like the ones listed below.

Kill Devil Hills / Event Showroom Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Ocean Atlantic Rentals and crew celebrate the opening of our brand new dual service location. Our showroom with display Wedding and Event merchandise that is available for rental. The second half of this location will replace our Nags Head shop. It will service Kitty Hawk to South Nags Head for all you beach equipment rental needs. Come check it out!
 Honeycutt Honored
At the YMCA of South Hampton Roads Anual Dinner held Jan 27th at the Downtown Norfolk Waterside Marriott, Greg Honeycutt was honored with the prestigious Order of the Red Triangle. This award is the highest honor a volunteer in the YMCA can receive. Each year it is presented to one volunteer that has given of his time and talent to further the mission of the YMCA by helping to promote strong kids, strong families, and strong communities. Greg has served on the Outer Banks YMCA board of Management since its inception and his company Ocean Atlantic Rentals hosts the anual Polar Plunge which has raised $54,000.00 over the past six years for the YMCA's We Build People Scholarship program!
12th Annual OBX Polar Plunge - March 14th, 2009
Ocean Atlantic Rentals has supported the creation of an Outer Banks Family YMCA since mid 1998. The doors opened to our new facility in November 2001. OAR presents the Annual Polar Plunge the first Saturday of every March. The event has raised over $56,000 for the YMCA to support programming and the "We build People" campaign. 2008's event brought over 400 people to the beach! www.obxpolarplunge.com is the official site.
 Nags Head Woods Run

 March of Dimes Walk-a-thon
Ocean Atlantic Rentals annually supports the March of Dimes Walk-a-thon at Manteo's Festival Park.
2009 4th Annual OBX Marathon - November 9th
Ocean Atlantic Rentals has been a Silver Sponser of the OBX Marathon since its inception. The Outer Banks Marathon and Half Marathon offers a unique point-to-point course that's fast and beautiful, a fun EXPO and post race Pirate Jamboree, great community support, and a chance to spend a weekend at "the beach"!
2009 Outer Banks Relay for Life May 16th and 17th
We also are a Silver Sponser for the Relay for Life. This relay raises money for The American Cancer Society. The 2008 relay was held at the First Flight High School in Kill Devil Hills and was truly a celebration of life, with live entertainment, food, a silent auction and games and, of course, teams walking the track the entire time.
Corolla Wild Horse Days is a 3-day festival showcasing the wild horses of the
Outer Banks. The event features pony rides, crafts, kid’s games,
food, music, a gentled Spanish Mustang, carriage rides, and entertainment
for the whole family
